The Laenei is a fictional reptilian - amphibian hybrid anthropomorphic species created by Tchaikovsky2.

There are few known characteristics of the Laenei so far, but what is studied is that they are a hybrid species of reptilian amphibian that evolved from the Homosapien Sapien genome.

It is unknown how many stages there are in the life cycle for the Laenei, as the known depitions are all of the same age. As a whole, their average lifespan is significantly longer than humans.

The gestation period is also unknown. Laenei lay hard-shelled eggs.

These scalies can be seen with webbed hands & feet, membranous fins around their preauricular pit, and horns on their forehead. In their mouth, they also have a forked tongue with an unknown number of razor-sharp teeth. Laenei female counterparts have mammillary glands on their chest.

It appears that the Laenei's skin color adapt to their environment. Features on delicate places such as their plantars, palmars, genitals, arms, legs, and tail are known to differ greatly between regions. These skin features vary in their shape but resemble half-circles, chevrons, or ellipses.

The Laenei's body temperature range between ~10°C - 24°C and possibly even warmer sources could say.
