Critical Role is a weekly web series where a professional group of voice actors (Matthew Mercer, Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Liam O'Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Taliesin Jaffe, Travis Willingham) play Dungeon & Dragons.

The show is livestreamed on Twitch and archived on YouTube and on the Critical Role website.

The show is divided in 3 campaigns, the first (Vox Machina) started airing on March 12 2015, ended on October 12 2017 and has 115 episodes. The second campaign (Mighty Nein) started on January 11 2018 and ended in June 2021 after 141 episodes. The third campaign (Bells Hells) premiered on October 21, 2021 and is still ongoing.

The Legend of Vox Machina, the animated series based on the first campaign of Critical Role, premiered January 28, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video. Mighty Nein, an upcoming animated series based on the second campaign, was announced in January 2023.
