The cowgirl position, but with the bottom (the partner being penetrated, even though they're above the top) facing away from, and straddling the top.

Variations

Vanilla reverse cowgirl involves kneeling, or resting on the lying partner. Positions that don't have those qualities may be a variant of reverse cowgirl instead.

• crouching_tiger_position, a close variant to reverse cowgirl that covers crouching, or standing over the lying partner.
• crouching_reverse_cowgirl, the straddling partner is bent over, on all fours, or in a feral / taur standing posture. It does not involve crouching.
• lap_dance_position, which in its vanilla form has the lying partner on a raised surface, and the penetrated partner is situated on the ground, but generally will be applicable to any posture that doesn't involve straddling (such as an open lap position).

Not to be confused with

• bent_spoon_position, when both partners are lying down
• chair_position, when both partners are sitting up
• lap_dance_position, when one partner is on the lying partner's lap, but not straddling them (typically done at the edge of something).
