Bearking and La Brea

  • I'm normally a fan of Zaush's work, but this piece in particular puts me a bit off.

    The saber-toothed cat's head seems a little too large compared to her torso, making her look adolescent or teenaged rather than an adult partner--something the artist usually avoids when drawing small otter characters. Typically, size difference is a-okay with me, but that is under the condition that those involved look like mature examples of their respective species.

    I hope Zaush doesn't veer more towards Carrot's near-Chibi head-to-body style of proportions in the future. Some folks are fine with that, but it's not something I am personally comfortable looking at due to it implicating adult-minor relations, even in the safe environment of fictitious furry art. :/

    Haha too bad for you! Zaush is into (fictitious) adult-minor relations, as evidenced by the characters in his recent comic!
