To my understanding, only mammals are sentient. And they only showed herbivores and carnivores. No omnivores (even though canines are), no avians, no fish or reptiles.

No, we're not calling them X-Cops. I don't even think any of them are ex-cops.

Although now that I think of it, I totally wouldn't be against some cops doing a mock breach on a drug house and bringing in a cobra (with a trained animal handler of course) with a little constable hat to the tune of the bad boys song.
