Huh, is the note editing error happening for everyone? I can't add a note for some reason but the text says, "It seems Latios and Latias like you!" in case anyone was wondering.

Actually, that's the trainer's doing. He's wearing the Dowsing Antennae, which wobble like crazy while glowing red when there's something right in front of you.
Latios is the first legendary you catch, thanks to being part of the game's story, and if you connect to a lot of people you can catch Latias soon after, as well.
