    Typical north Atlantic ocean problems.

Siamese fighting fish live in flooded rice paddies, not the seas.

They also do, in fact, threat display at their own reflections.

  • If we were honest, Longtails are the most common and lowest the rarity for a betta, so technically you would be considered "ugly" (or boring). Crowntails, Halfmoons, Deltas, Dragon scales, and fighters cost way more than the original (and are obliviously prettier).

Collecting and caring Bettas was one heck of a childhood hobby. I even managed to get them to breed and see their babies grow up. Beautiful creatures...but after a while I got bored, and moved on to cichlids.

  • we have one of those in our fish tank here. shame we can't put another fish in with it or it'd start trouble with the other one(s). :/ i've seen it puff up like that at it's reflection though. heh, even it's own reflection upsets it.

  • Oh, man. We use to have two of those fish back in the day. Put their bowls too close and they would smack into the glass trying to get at each other.
