  • I was expecting some knotting.

This is well made, but I don't really appreciate that the animation was simply sped up for the thrusting. To be precise: The thrusting didn't actually bother me, the flaw I'm looking at is the tail wagging. You can only drive that to a certain speed, after that it looks silly because hair doesn't behave like that.
Still though, it's an appreciated effort and the different angles are a nice change from the usual.

I hope this is a game cause I now want to play it. :O

You're in luck, because it is! Check the source on the post, its a link straight to the game's demo page. Be warned though: The game is VERY unforgiving and plays a lot like older NES/SNES-era platformers, and takes a lot of inspiration from La-Mulana.

Yeah I remember making it to the first boss and being frustrated that there were no checkpoints after what's around a 20 minute gauntlet.

There is a save point pretty near to the first boss. It's there as soon as you enter the first dungeon, and you can open shortcuts to make it a quick journey from there back to the boss.

I actually finally managed to beat the boss thanks to that, but then I realized...
It was the safe for work demo
