also, i'm pretty sure canine baculum (dick bone) doesn't end with the knot, but somewhere around where the dick meets the rest of the body, so it would be broken in this situation.
and they don't need additional inches (at least as many as it's portrayed here) of the dick to bend it "backwards", just like humans don't need any additional inches to bend them downwards (or backwards if they were on all fours). all they need is a bit space for labia (or whichever part of vulva/vagina exactly does that) to contract behind the knot.
