  • I hate Erica Henderson's art to the point I couldn't read the comic (which I would actually have enjoyed if any of the artists behind the variant covers were doing the actual comic), but the goal was unsexy. Can't fault her for turning it to 11, I guess.

Still, I really do wonder what the sales difference would've been if they'd gone for "well drawn, plain looks" instead of "guh what am I looking at?"

  • I've never liked any official iteration of Squirrel Girl's design.
My least favorite is the original design which featured creepy clown makeup around her eyes.

  • I can see how the art style of the current Squirrel Girl run isn't for everybody, but this is extremely petty, especially the scare quotes around "professional". I think that if you're an artist employed by friggen Marvel and working on a title that just got renewed into the all-new all-different universe (or whatever they call it), then yes, you are a friggen professional artist and apparently a pretty successful one to boot.

Personally I kinda like her depiction in the Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors animated series. http://s2.seekcartoon.com/data1/2015/6/6/2.gif Or would those markings be the "creepy clown makeup" you referred to?

I mean sure, she's no White Tiger, but certainly a far cry from the "Spuckler Family Reject."

  • I don't see how drawing an isolated figure compares to an entire 22 page issue on a deadline.

  • Ha that goes to show you that some artist makes money, others just draws a similar cahracter only to end up on 4chan for someone fap to it.

REEEEEEEEEEEE SHE'S NOT CONVENTIONALLY ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH

Horny 4chan boys need to learn to shut the fuck up for once, lmao

It wasn't that she wasn't attractive, it's that the artstyle is hideous and the artist's previous work before she worked for Marvel is leagues better.

Isn't the joke supposed to be that whatever material she appears is to be funny, not serious?
