As I understand it, WebM can come in many formats which affect quality and things

This works in Chrome, and not Firefox

As noted, doesn't work in Firefox, but I successfully downloaded it, and played it locally with MPV no problems.

I think I see where the problem is, it's actually not webm, it's matorska container (.mkv) which contains VP8 video inside. Chrome is clever enough to play it, but firefox gets confused.

So video itself should play on firefox, but you have to make it actual .webm instead of renaming .mkv.

Not necessary though, you can still download it (right click > save as..) and watch it :P

yet another reason to switch to chrome. Sorry, firefox lovers.

Codec: Google/On2's VP8 Video (VP80)

Firefox (obviously) doesn't have that codec built-in. You just need to download it and then play it with VLC for example, or instal the codec plugin for use with Firefox.
