  • Reese is the last remaining member of a once-thriving race of jello fenra. The jello fenra are water element fenra that stumbled upon a hidden grove consisting entirely of nylla, an Etris plant that is analogous to Earth's sugar cane. For centuries the jello fenra went undetected in their secret grove, cultivating and subsisting on little more than their nylla plants and their boundless love and respect for all living things.

It was the jello fenras' naivety and trusting nature that eventually led to their downfall. One fateful night, Reese discovered an injured sun fenra slowly bleeding out near the outskirts of the nylla grove and brought him back to the village. The kind and gentle jello fenra mended the sun fenra's wounds and nursed him back to health, and soon became good friends with the sun fenra. Or so they thought. The sun fenra had no intention of being friends with the delicious jello fenra. One night, after all the fenra had gone to sleep, the sun fenra abducted a pair and took them back home with him.

Word quickly spread of the exotic, sugary jello fenra and other races had soon laid siege to the grove. Those that were not eaten alive on the spot were taken as slaves to be shown off as curiosities or used for other more cruel and unscrupulous purposes. Many fenra banded together to protest the cruel treatment that the jello fenra had received, but by the time a solution could be reached the damage had already been done. It was discovered too late that the jello fenra could not survive on any food except their beloved nylla plants, and the remaining few starved to death.

Reese alone managed to escape the initial slaughter and then escape his captors afterward. His abilities include being delicious, making other things delicious, and watching in horror while his family is mercilessly eaten alive before his eyes. He spends his time crying sweet, delicious tears of suffering and regret and reliving the terror of that day over and over again in his dreams. In addition to his crippling depression and night terrors, Reese suffers from the looming fear that one day someone will return to the grove to finish him off. One day, Reese's pieces will be doled out to the highest bidders. Such is the price of being delicious.
