Actually, you are mostly wrong, he was emo before, cause he had cancer, it was inoperable, his father had cancer too, died of the same thing. Then Arty got cured of it, then it came back. He was raped by a small hyper sexual cross-dressing sheep boy which he kept secret as he could.
