Description

The Fox without a Tail.

These scans are all from an obscure children's encyclopedia published in the 30's. My friend, Brenna Benjamin remembered this illustration from her childhood. She said the foxes always seemed menacing. I have to admit, it is a strange illustration for a children's book.

  • I hope somebody knows where and when this is from because well, consider me thoroughly taken in by the pastiche if it's a modern take. It's signed "M", which isn't entirely helpful.
