Former StaffAnd remember, death is a male.
elad
MemberTechnically he doesn't (and has never) had any genitalia. But you can identify gender from bone structure!... it passes, at a stretch.
Kald
Former StaffWell, if you don't know Terry Pratchett, you can't get the reference :P

MemberWhich book? I don't get it too, and I have read a couple of them.
Kald
Former StaffI don't think Death's character is much developed in the 2 first books of the Discworld serie (The 8th Color, The 8th Spell ; not sure about their name in english) but he is one of the main protagonists in Mortimer, Reaperman, Hogfather...
showoffmob
MemberNah, he barely appeared in those, but I started adoring the character even then. I read the first two books like, ten years ago, and still I can remember the scenes he appears in.
Malachite Dragon
MemberFirst two books in english are The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic, I believe- And you're right, his personality wasn't very developed in them- He was more of an antagonistic sort after Rincewind, but he got more fleshed out later on and these incidents were never spoken of again.
Zurr
MemberTo be fair, Death is the antagonist of anyone wanting to live. Given that Rincewind is very, very, VERY good at living, Death obviously has a slight problem with that.
