I, for one, am the first in this thread to say that didn't got it... :/

Okay, well, in Norse mythology, Loki turned himself into a mare because reasons, and got banged by another horse.

A little while later, (s)he gave birth to that over-9000-legged demigod and very magical horse called Sleipnir.

Ah. Now it makes sense. Thanks

Norse mythology is weird but awesome at the same time I guess...

Which gives me an idea for a new Marvel series: a slice-of-life thing that follows the lives of the Norse gods and all the misadventures they got up to once. Like that time when Loki tied a goat to his ballsack in order to make a giantess laugh and agree to build this wall once.

    And that's canon.

Yes, or indeed a TV series. It would be a lot better than what they're doing now, imo

A little detail you left out: as mare-Loki is causing 'trouble' because reasons, ODIN figures she just needs a good pounding and sends out his PERSONAL prized stallion.

Then commence mare-loki hiding in the woods and coming back with super magical 8 legged super pony.

And then, said super-magical over-9000-legged super pony ends up being Odin's new prized steed, and Mare-Loki eventually turns back into 'normal' Loki.

Remember, kids, don't turn into a horse and fuck around, because your dad will send a horse to screw you and the resulting super-demigod-over-9000-legged-magical-horse will become his horse.

Wasn't it just tax evasion? Odin said to Loki to distract the builder so he can't get job done in time and therefore Asgard won't need to pay him for his work. Loki turns into mare to distract the draft horse from helping their employee work. As a bonus to evading taxes, Odin also gets to ride on his new nephew, who's a horse with eight legs.
Never heard "just because reasons" version before.
