The village people cannot die from natural causes or old age due to a curse but they must perform sacrifices. 4 villagers per 2 months.
The randomly chosen candidates are tied & gagged up on the spot and within 10 mins thrown into already pre-made graves and covered up completely. Through the intervention of the old gods, after 2 weeks as the ancient scriptures says the candidates are dug back up. They will be missing their arms, fur, hair and with their legs fused to each other, their face skin grown over their eyes and mouth which also traps the gag inside their mouth forever. But in this state, through the blessing of the old gods, they will heal from any injuries and are immortal. They will be presented to the village so their loved ones or villagers can give their last words to them before they are throw into the ancient lakes to join hundreds of thousands of their ancestors in eternal suffering to feed the old gods. They must do this or the whole village will suffer a worst fate as the scripture state.
