Personal art of an idea that was bouncing around in my head for over a year, made linework for several months ago, and finally finished! And, well, since it is personal art, I had to make it more of a challenge with the more complicated lighting angle. :-P Also, I experimented with a new way to detail manes and tails in this piece, which I think I will be adopting for future pieces. I find it somewhat funny that as I keep on with digital art, I keep on drifting more and more toward digital painting methods. The main reason why I haven't fully embraced digital painting is that I'm somewhat uncomfortable with color blending and redoing sections if they didn't turn out as I planned. I prefer to keep shading and such on separate layers (multiply, screen, ect.). I'll probably still keep on experimenting on this front in future pieces.
