Seb will likely be the hero of that story, and/or walk in on it

The worst case yet still possible way this could go... Serah's gonna start crying telling this story, Seb's gonna walk in when she does, see Keith sitting there, assume the worst, and absolutely unload a decade's worth of resentment onto him before he can even explain himself. Keith is more than likely gonna get angry right back regardless of his original intent

The week will be over very soon, after nine years. If you’re in a hurry to see more, BK has unreleased comics on his patreon.

Maybe my point didn't come across as I wanted

I'm not in a rush, I just want some extra dialogue per page instead of constant cliffhanger

I kinda agree with that, it been 2 months already and each page is a cliffhanger for the next one :(

Oh man... I don't remember somethig like that.
It happened in the comic or it was an offscreen thing?

Most likely before the comic began and it hasn’t been addressed until now

Bear in mind, the entirety of the comic only takes place over the course of a week or two, with a smattering of flashbacks. Still 18+ years of the twins’ life unknown.

  • Im guessing that she is going to go into one or more incidents that happened while he was passed out drunk.
It honestly is kind of getting a bit tiring now with every new page being a few sentences getting half a point out and ending in a stinger for the next page. It's not a big problem when following a comic after the fact but following it as pages release makes it feel elongated and awkward a fair bit.
Hoping the next page has a bit more meat to it, in a manner of speaking.

Then why not try a little more eloquence, little less 'fucking Christ's'.

This is the nature of experiencing a story as it's being written, it's going to require patience. If you really do respect the Artist then this shouldn't be such a problem for you.

Wouldn't take much. Yeah, I'm sure they've had their entire lives to be around Keith and there are probably a ton of examples of him not being the most stellar father, but it's also not difficult for teenagers to view everything about adults in the worst light possible, so from her point of view she probably has a ton of ammo to throw that isn't as confirming of her point as she thinks it is.

However, I'm not so easily swayed. Serah has already been shown to be manipulative in my eyes and this is coming out of nowhere. No foreshadowing of what we are about to see.

Oh wow, just what I talked about in the last page. You're denying all the clues and foreshadowing and now claiming there wasn't any.

Seeing Keith blackout drunk, having him admit he's a drunkard, him admitting he hadn't been around, having pictures of his ex while he was married to a different woman, him getting together with a homewrecker. Yeah, it sounds like the author posted zero flaws, you definitely haven't ignored anything.

We saw him sleeping on the couch ONCE, it took the rest of the week to see him Not drinking and calling himself out for drinking so much. Again, the author didn't sell me on him being an alcoholic if he just passes out.

No drunk driving, no bottles scattered around, no fridge full of beer, no drunken stupor, no yelling or throwing things, no vomiting from over drinking. He drinks and sleeps on the couch. He doesn't even have a beer at dinner!

I'm supposed to be bothered by that? I can't find myself hating him for that.

He keeps one picture of Jayden and him from. High-school because, like a lot of people, you don't stop loving someone. You just love someone else more. And he keeps his wife and children front and center. If he was really so heartless and loving Jayden over his wife, he had ten years to move her right in. But he didn't. Becausw he loves his wife.

The only clues, the only "foreshadowing" (used incorrectly here) we have are Serah's displeasure at him. Which Seb doesn't have! So either Seb is just brain dead or Serah experienced something he didn't. And she did. The accident.

I keep saying this, the whole event is written to where she blames him for the accident, is traumatized by losing her mother and is latching onto her brother because she doesn't want to lose him.

No no, they have a point… I think AnonJohn20 needs to take some debate classes instead of invalidly picking apart an argument ad-hominem. I hate seeing valid predictions and arguments by moonfang here getting abhorrently downvoted cause it doesn’t fit the head canon of the 9 horny people who hate emotional storytelling and valid criticism and just want to see everyone bone. If you want to watch a bunch of family members fuck, there’s countless content elsewhere on this site and all over the internet that do not go any deeper than β€œwe’re related let’s fuck”. Go enjoy that and disregard the valid introspection of a furry porn comic comment section.

If that were true and the kids were the first priority, he wouldn't be in a relationship with someone that one of his kids heavily resented. Serah's mom and dad were arguing about Jayden the night Serah's mom died. You keep trying to downplay that, but god forbid anyone tells you that your heavy biases are affecting your ability to think about it logically. So far to you, every bad quality of Keith has an excuse, but both Serah and her mom are abusive. LOL

Foreshadowing is a narrative device in which a storyteller gives an advance hint of what is to come later in the story. Foreshadowing often appears at the beginning of a story, and it helps develop or subvert the audience's expectations about upcoming events. Nope it's not being used incorrectly. There are hints.

  • Ever since he found out, he hasn't tried actually talking to them. The only factual info he has is from Jayden, who's got it second hand as well. And he's not even interested in hearing their part of the story, asking questions and just talking it out, you know, like a family 🀷

I mentioned this before, Serah has no idea who Jayden was until she explained their relationship later on.

In fact, let's talk about that day.

That was... Wednesday morning, I think. Jayden explains that she overheard Serah having sex, not knowing it was with Seb at the time. So she has no idea about the living situation between the siblings. That they share a bedroom. And it also meant that Keith was asleep or close to it when they got started themselves. And I rely on the story either stating something happened or giving evidence to believe it happened off screen.

So I can only infer that Jayden and Serah hadn't meet before this and Keith did not have sex with her that night. Does he hook up often? No idea. In the span of a week, we only see her. The second time we do, she showed up without his inviting outright stating that she was going to be in and out. So they had rekindled their romantic relationship by this point most likely to some degree. Or she is trying to at least.

Also that house only has one bathroom or was she using the secondary bath? Anyway.

Also, Jayden also doesn't like their relationship. She just doesn't like split families so I don't see her as an ally beyond not wanting a shattered family. Though that's not a good reason to allow unhealthy behaviors.

The point is that there is no evidence that Serah knows about Jayden and Keith dating in the past.

Dude, come on. Are you serious? Serah keeps talking about his dad whoring around (you can see it in the same image that Seb lost his bet), and afterwards Jayden is the only self-admitted whore in the story (seen both times that Serah and Jayden talk). If Jayden didn't sleep with Keith, then what services do you think they were talking about. https://e621.net/posts/1564166?pool_id=14495

Jayden is not a hooker or a whore.

Serah is being bratty and irritable and Jayden is reacting with sardonic indifference. This is very obvious with context.

Serah is the only one who mentioned services. And yes, she is a prostitute, I didn't doubt that. But they pay for time mainly and not activities exclusively. So having her spend the night over will still have her taking his money.

As thin as the walls aparrently are, Serah and Seb would have heard her active and wouldn't have done anything until they stopped and she left. But she didn't leave and Serah is surprised to see her. So they clearly didn't do anything and Serah assumed her father just passed out again, alone.

Her parents kicked her out for being a whore. It's why she tried to help Serah on Friday and Saturday. Plus, we know she took money from Keith's wallet while he was sleeping on the day that Seb asks Keith for money to take a girl out on a date.

Right, because spending money on prostitutes when you have a family is only wrong if you sleep with them (sarcasm).

No, she was kicked out for promiscuity. There’s a difference. Her parents could be the zealous religious types who think that any violation of a cardinal sin will bring the Devil to their doorstep.

I'm going to be that "type guy", I know, but:

The constant dialogue cliffhanger between pages is getting a bit old by now.

With a page per week, this means the last three weeks has been a constant feeling of being baited into "what happens next page" feeling.
It no longer feels like a real conversation but one filled with inconnected words just for the sake of dragging it out longer.

I already know we're not finishing this chapter until maybe February next year at best.

Maybe once the comic is done fully and you read it through it will feel a bit more organic, but now? Nope

I love this story, the art and I respect the artist business model, I've been here since the last page of Tuesday Morning no longer for the sex, but for the plot.

But damn fucking christ, can we carry on already? Just a couple more of bubble dialogues per page maybe?

It's been worse. I mean, there are comics here where there are whole pages dedicated to showing one quarter of an action taking place. Page 1: jump off chair, Page 2: Get set to run, Page 3: start running, Page 4: continue running... When you slog through that, a comic page that's actually a comic page per week is fine. There's other things to do out there while you wait for a comic to gather pages.

  • This is a great clapback, Serah, but it's not going to help with the underlying issue that is Keith thinking that your relationship is a problem that is specifically his fault.

That happened on Tuesday and I'm pretty sure by that point in terms planning the plot, Jayden was only going to be a prostitute that came and went.
Wouldn't be surprised if the whole romance between Keith and her was added afterwards like other things.

  • I'm proud of Serah, saying sorry for snapping back. No point in escalating things; let's talk. About this rocky family of ours, and how it came to this.
I get the feeling this won't be a pleasant talk either, but maybe Keith needs to hear more of Sera's perspective, current situation aside, to even begin to understand.

(And gosh, it's a little jarring going back to previous chapters to remind me of the context. 😳 Keith, you have no idea how lucky you are to have caught them implying their relationship with words and not actions against the kitchen counter.)

I mean...he still caught them in the act when they were going at it in their bed and Serah said she "thought she seen their dad at the door". The following page showed that he actually was at the door and had caught them in the middle of going at it.
