While Squig can explain what she is, she cannot explain why she is or how she was genuinely summoned, only that things like her are drawn to a certain aspect of humans. From Zane's perspective, like most people I imagine, it would still leave a lot of questions including how she knows his name. Probably doesn't help that Zane has a light buzz from drinking, lmao
