MemberZackary often likes drawing his foxes with pencil arms. I oddly dig the style.

MemberWould anyone be mad at me if I said im not a fan of Zachary's new art style?
UMB13
MemberHe used to have this texture work that sold the depth and heft of every image, now I can't help but feel like everything is kind of flimsy. Doesn't help that I don't think there is much shading on this, something that was a lot more complex in his older pieces. This kind of looks a little Looney-Tunes-y, not my favourite either.

MemberZack's art style has been evolving since the beginning. It's pretty evident if you see what his art looked like at the beginning. I don't necessarily think of it as a downgrade. It's just a result of growing as an artist and discovering their own style.
DirtyRatMatt
MemberNot really. His older work did look better than this. It deffo looks a bit too cartoon-y for my liking.
Chocobocobo
MemberIdk, I like the more simplistic and cartoon-ish look

MemberI love that nerd fox<3

MemberFar be it from me to say either of these style are bad. They are both way better than I could hope to ever do. Its just unfortunate to see what is essentially realistic anatomy and great attention to detail, switch to a much simpler cartoony style.

MemberLefting the style theme, the zack pieces has Increased the size and the pixel numbers
(Just is a detail)

Memberstill a good work, i don't see a downgrade looks even more blendy , in the firsts the lines looks quite too straights forme, i think his art its awesome anyways. he got great ideas of cenarios and themes, i think it better than just "anatomy and graffics"
remembers me about the problem with tripple A's and ia art.
the "realistic" sometimes dont bring the diversity (sorry if ma inglish is bad, its not my first leguege)

MemberI think we have to wait to see more art from Zachary before we jump to any conclusions here. It could be as simple as him just experimenting with a different art style, or could be just having an alternative style that he can use alongside his more "realistic" style.
I can see with some of the previous images for this year that he has no problems switching between this cartoony style and the more realistic one, so I don't think there's anything to really worry about at the moment.

MemberYeah I really liked the old style too. I don't hate the new one but I also don't like it, its super cartoony compared to his older pieces. I still support the new changes either way, artist should be allowed to do what they want, and if he likes the new style more, all power to him.
Nudhul
MemberReally goes to show that evolution is not always an upwards ladder ๐
MichealYourMan
MemberYeah... Artists can do whatever style they want, but like... I can't say I am a big fan of this overly toony style. His older style honestly really grabbed at my attention and instantly knew it was Zackary. These days, unfortunately not so much, with some exception.
