It's at the 2 minute mark of this video he does grab his pants where his crotch is to loosen it.

I'll also say I like how the artist got his clothing right. Some artist give Rocket a zipper so he can keep his pants on and put the zipper down. But really we see in Vol 3 he does have pants without a shirt. So that's attention to detail for sure by not trying to make it a one piece suit.
