Description

Just thought I'd upload this. Honestly, this thing scares the living hell out of me. This thing is nothing BUT overkill. It's nearly fifty times the size of the player's AC and carries missiles on its back with integrated autocannons on its hands. I hope this isn't deleted but if it is, oh well. I just thought it would be nice if some ACV players who traverse this site would see this and hopefully share feelings on this murderous concoction of FROM SOFTWAREs twisted minds.

  • Lol, if "wtf" was a valid reason to delete a post then half the content of this site wouldn't be here.

In any case this will probably get deleted because mechas are irrelevant to 621

True. But seriously who flags for a reason like that?

  • I have to be honest. It might be the angle, but this is one weird-looking robot. Cool, but weird.

You should see the other death machines FROM SOFTWARE made:
    Red Exusia
    N-WGIX
    Spirit of Motherwill
    Nine-Ball Seraph
    Scarabeus
    Phantasma
    Noblesse Oblige
    Supplice
    Orleans
    Krasnaya
    Red Rum
    Strix Quadruped

    Oh... and as for weapons:
    LB-66-MOONLIGHT
    07-MOONLIGHT
    063ANAR
    Karasawa
    KRSW

If you think about it, FROM SOFTWARE put virtually everything they could into the Armored Core series. I think they put more effort into it than they did with the Souls games.

I, as MWO player, can say:
    Shoot the legs!

I sincerely recommend not doing that. Drawing attention to yourself is one surefire way to get your ass scrapped in the AC universe. Of course pretty much any tactic is risky. I mean the Exusia has a move I dubbed 'the facerape' where it swoops down and rips you in half, inflicting instant breakdown and a surge of rage.

I can see only one possible way to defeat this thing. Get under it and shot up.

Alas, that tactic never works in any of FROM SOFTWARE's games.

Just drop a nuke on it that always works

That's another thing. You only fight this guy in inhabited areas and nukes are pretty much just gone by this age.

  • Is it really overkill though? There's the five-finger cannons either hand, sure, but what else? Unless those things that look like atlas thrusters are actually weapons. Really, you wanna talk about something that looks like overkill,I've seen mechs with quite a few more guns!

This is FROM SOFTWARE we're talking about. The guys who made Dark Souls. This thing is pretty much the equivalent of a damn titan from warhammer.

A joint attack between Starship Troopers Marauders, some mechs from Chromehounds, some VS's from Lost Planet, and the big rail gun for Lost Planet and the hover craft laser, and I think we can bring that thing down.

Also needed: Twenty Mantises from Halo, three hacked Exusias, and Sephiroth.

Wouldn't the railgun be enough? lol It has those armor piercing dragon rounds, fully loaded with thermal energy.

Sadly, no. They have railguns in this game and they don't even do much to this thing. TDN5 has five parts that must be destroyed before killing it. These parts are the two missile launchers, the arms, and the head. Each piece would most likely require around 20000 points of damage to be destroyed. However its main gun turns out to be some sort of overpowered railgun that can instantly destroy whatever it hits. Amazingly it has two simple flaws. Both are risky to utilize and can only be performed by veterans of this game. One is to make a light AC with the Legion Pulse and get on top. The other is to hit its foot with the Mass Blade. Both these attacks kill it instantly but risk getting suicidally close to it.

Have you played Lost Planet 2? That railgun can penetrate at least ten feet of armor and then some! It would surly knock this thing on its ass right?

Armored Core bosses like this don't suffer from impact force.

  • Oh good, it wields the bastard children of the WA-FINGER weapons. Are we trading fire-rate for artillery or do those hand-guns (HA) just shit out moderately-lethal explosives at overwhelming rates?

Neither. Those guns fire like a machine gun and act as high-powered grenade launchers. Easy to dodge, but a bitch of you get hit by one of the shells.

  • okay the logical weak points of this machine directly beneath it the joints at the feet. and likely the head... assuming you can use equipment that is either equal to it's batteries or superior then you could take this out fairly simple damn thing would collapse under it's own weight or become immobile.
and if you can' get equal equipment ever than that's a game i want nothing to do with. if you can buy only after fighting it that's rough but fair.

  • Sweeeeeeeet... LOVE the mecha man, I just have one thing to say... Logically, whats the point of thumb cannons? I mean, besides putting one more round down range and looking vaguely hand-ish, its utterly useless, right? Its not articulated or flexible, so overall its more a gimmick than anything else... other than that, this thing is AWESOME!!!

some of that stuff you listed, i've seen before... motherwill obviously (that stupid thing is literally 1 freaking mile wide!). i...THINK i've seen phantasma...yeah, the game was under the same name and was kinda tricky to fight iirc. you forgot one death machine: Answerer. that hellish THING was armed to tooth and nail with 100% kojima weapons and crap and could hit you from just about ANY range. i've only ever managed to kill it once and to this day i still can't remember how the F i did it the first time (maybe i used a setup with high kojima defense or perhaps something with white glint...i dunno).

also, forgot a weapon i think. what was it...god finger...finger? found it:

    Name: WA-FINGER
    Type: Machine Gun
    Price: 275000
    Weight: 150
    Energy Drain: 120
    Weapon Lock: Special
    Attack Power: 250
    Number of Ammo: 3000
    Ammo Type: Solid
    Ammo Price: 8
    Range: 3700
    Maximum Lock: 1
    Reload Time: 1

well, now to go on youtube and see just how lethal this ACV monstrosity really is lol
