Paw Play - Short

Ok so somehow this "short" took most of this month to make 0-o I highly underestimated how long an animation like this would take to make, so I've scaled down the next short so I have more time to work on the major project. As much of a pain as it was to make, I'm super happy with how this one came out! The first but not the last paw related animation I've done! :D Angus voiced by Phosphorus, Cookie voiced by Kittenvox. Thank you for your support! <3

  • Tis sad to see my favourite parts locked behind a paywall ... It wasn't so bad when it was just an additional angle or something, but the finish of the animation is just depressing.

Imagine people complaining that artists need to make money for the work they do. It's literally like $4 a month. It's not like they are asking you to pay $50 to see the ending for a single animation.

Yes cause compared to everything else on this site and the site itself, free porn is easier to find and more convenient. The entire point of paying is to support an artist to continue their work, but I'm not here to buy a product. I find those that release everything and supporters just get early access more respectable and worth supporting then those who fully paywall content. Also it just causes people to more likely to pirate etc. it's a lose lose all around.

Nah, until recently they released videos of their animations from start to finish, leaving a few angles, full quality, early access, and the interactive versions to be exclusive to patrons, as well as monthly still renders made for higher-tier backers. That's a long list of incentives. Deciding to cut the video short a few extra seconds to remove the finish just seems like a deliberate jab at free viewers.

It's like if YouTube decided that instead of pausing videos to put in ads for non-premium viewers, they would just insert 5-10 second ads into videos, overwriting those brief segments for anyone not paying to be there.

It's a classic "honey and vinegar" situation.
Keep in mind I say this as one of Critter's backers.

I would generally these days stay off from watching crittermatic as someone who used to be a silver tier pledger as I didn't want to pay to view blurred content paywalled at the next tier just to get paywalled earlier than the free viewers. but I sometimes cave in and doing so felt so disappointed and im so glad I am not the only one who sees something's up

like I was seriously VERY appreciative how these animations went from paywalls MID animation, to "hey here is extra if you support me, back to withdrawing everything back into a paywalll which again, you need to be a silver tier pledger, not the bronzer one, the benefits you get are publicly available on the patreon page, and I remember even at some point there being a discussion about it in the discord server about these tiers but you know what I didn't see much of? bronze tier subs, I wonder why that is... maybe because you pay to get get blurred content.. but only earlier than free viewers.

this of course is a debate between paying 2 bucks vs paying 4 bucks, but the fact that these are 2 separate tiers just irks me VERY hard. why have a tier like that?...... except.. now that I started thinking, its like an ice cream shop trick to make customers buy the large size ice cream when the medium size ice cream is a scam made to make people weight their investment and jump to the large, that's what this HONESTLY feels like. take that how you will.
im just some random idiot on the internet who doesn't have the popularity or the patreon income they have.

I would have mentioned something about what I am up to, except it would be a shameless plug so I will not.

anyways, crittermatic does INCREDIBLE good quality animations. and that is a FACT. I dislike most content as Agnus is the only attractor to me but the fact that I still keep coming to see what's up despite how uncaring I am for mosy of the content just only shows how good it is. I sincerely hope this big project they are working on WILL blow the socks off of everyone on this site with how good it is, it WILL make every sacrifice WORTH it wouldn't you gals agree?
    im rooting for you crittermatic!
