I mean, it’s not terribly far in concept from how spiders will use insanely fast hydraulic movements of their blood to move/pounce/strike and all that, but seein it on something vaguely mammalian is….uncanny.

By the look on Kass' face, the more she learns about her new body, the more unhappy she is with it.

There are work arounds for that. Also, it seems to be traditional for them to file the tooth down, as Vizlet made a comment about wishing she had time to do so with Kass before introducing them to the patriarchs.

But the tongue thing is just flat out body horror.

Huh. Kind of like a frog's tongue but with inflatable barbs instead of it being sticky. Strange, but it is indeed fascinating. From Kassen's perspective though it's probably unsettling at best and yet-more body horror at worst.

Interestingly, it was Kassen who initially brought this to Ran's attention in the first place.
