It's probably because Zenless Zone Zero has a lot of hype right now for some gamers, and Von is one of the few, if only, furry characters in that game. Don't quote me on this. My assumption is that the hype about this particular character spread to other furries previously not interested in the game, they thought he was hot, and the cycle continued. Again, don't quote me on this.
