Yeah, I noticed that the original version posted was pretty bad conversion, but I was hoping if artist used some of their other accounts on websites that doesn't suck, like Itaku or IB, instead of trying to re-convert 𝕏 copy.

Would also be nice if artists realized that they can post porn publicly and freely on SubscribeStar and use that site for filehosting.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll look into it! I wanted to upload the original mov or mp4 file to e621, but it only accepts webm files. I spent almost an hour looking up how to convert to webm, but came up empty handed. Someone other than me posted this video here before I managed to figure out how to do the conversion, which I’m grateful for btw. I’m open to help and suggestions.

As far as I know, e621 doesn’t allow MP4 because of licensing issues.

I replaced this post with the MP4 converted to WEBM via FFMPEG, a command line tool.
It's not really the most intuitive program to use honestly, but very powerful.
I just used a slightly modified command I found from Mairo. (see forum #325866 )
I don't fully understand what it does exactly and why it's split into two commands.

But the best way is of course to prevent the need for any conversion at all,
so exporting directly to WEBM rather that converting the exported MP4 to WEBM.

On e621 the recommended WEBM format for video is VP9 and OPUS for audio.

Usually you don't want to convert to WebM, but rather directly export to it, just like you did MP4. This however does depend on software, something like Adobe encoder needs WebM plugin.
Also MOV and MP4 are basically the same, they are both video containers mainly for h264 and h265 to the point you can just rename extensions which you wouldn't normally be able to do, MOV is simply Apple Quicktime specific format where MP4 is more standardized one.
For example, I use Vegas, that software absolutely sucks and MP4 exporting is basically broken, so I have gotten habit of exporting as lossless AVI or PNG image sequence and then transcoding into formats I need with FFmpeg as I can even make it into high quality Flash if I want to and nobody can stop me.

Main issue is that you have to pay 𝕏 Premium to get your videos uploaded at HD quality, othervice it will only upload as 720p 1mbps h264 transcode, which looks bad and is awful to handle. And you aren't currently 𝕏 Premium subscriber. People complain how YouTube shits the quality to degree they have enhanced 1080p for premium subscribers but even they use several mbps for 720p and allow like up to 16K or something ridiculous.
Like I mentioned, there are already other websites that allow video uploads as original files and quality like Itaku and IB, additionally there's Newgrounds, SoFurry and FurryNetwork. Just having even the proper quality MP4 available anywhere at all is already helping a lot with people who try to transcode stuff into here.
