lots of people seem to blame the downfall of the sonic franchise on Sega not listening to their fans. I like to theorise the opposite of this; they gave their fans as near as they could figure to 'exactly what they want'. The results? Pseudo-erotic angsty side-characters, 90% of which are recolours with horrible voice acting and plot that would make L. Ron Hubbard go 'That's kinda retarded'.

After sonic heroes the sonic franchise started to go downhill in which case started to become rediculious if I spelled that word right and started to lose all of their fans who use to be me but now I moved on and play better games.
And fyi if a fat red suit italian guy can pass your ranks and make better games than you. Im sorry but you need to die.

Now I just find this whole "Mario VS Sonic" stuff stupid. Each franchise has had it's own share of fail, but does it require a full out internet war? Now I am keeping in mind that this IS the internet I'm talking about, and there isn't a whole lot to about it. I just say that there isn't much point in argueing over little things like this. Go debate about something meaningful...like politics.

I'd say they started going downhill after Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Sonic Heroes was sorta a last hoorah, where Sega actually made a pretty solid game that was pretty fun. But everything between Sonic 3, and Heroes, was pretty terrible. And I haven't seen a game after Heroes that was good.

I dunno what's so hard about the concept...

Sonic heroes sucked hard. No replay value at all, and the stages were dull. The general idea of it was okay, but they fucked it up.

Sonic Adventure 1 was okay, at best. Sonic Adventure 2 was a LOT better. Plus the better Chao garden and different missions on each levels made it have a pretty good replay value.

Though, they can't get any better than ye olde Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 (& Knuckles).

I think that the Adventure games would be better, if they removed 2/3rds of the games.

The best part of SA2 was the Sonic and Shadow levels. Tails/Knuckles/Rogue/Eggman levels were horrid.

Sega needs to stop trying to force their Sonic games to switch between action platformer and combat brawler gameplay.

fun fact: the term "werehog" is an incorrect. the correct term is hogwolf or wolfhog, The word werewolf is thought to derive from Old English wer and wulf, The first part, wer, translates as "man" (in the specific sense of male human, not the race of humanity generally, The second half, wulf, is the ancestor of modern English "wolf"; in some cases it also had the general meaning "beast".

Anyone else think sonic and the secret rings was a pig to control, even spring mario in galaxy was easier

Though I do enjoy the party games like the violin one or the rip the carpet one :D
