Anchors of the ocean [collaboration]

The ocean, the beautiful beaches, the clear blue water of them and the sound of waves of water running against the shore can be a pleasant sound to listen to.
Being on vacation is something truly wonderful, you see sights of all wonders and kinds, eat delicious food and explore the beautiful world that you decided to stay at, yet sometimes the beauty that mother nature provides can lead into tricky situations, which end up inside someones rare instead.

Be careful with where you decide to swim!

This arts was a small collaboration between strikerSA and me!
Original concept, art and linework belongs to Stiker. My own part of work in it was only making shading, colours and background environment, but this was a fun experience for me, and also a good option of how to take a pause between my own commissioned arts.

I'm not sure yet, but have an idea to make later my fully own art with this creature, if Striker will let me to use the same idea of his anemone.

Ass Snatchers

In recent years, a peculiar kind of sea anemone has begun to make its presence felt off the shores of various tropical coastlines, especially around popular swimming and diving spots.

Its official name is the Fisherman Anemone, but it has earned the more common and crass names of "Ass Snatcher" or "Butt Anchor" among the general public. Regardless, the names are the result of how it catches its prey. The anemone, upon sensing the movement of potential prey in the water nearby, opens up and shoots a long tentacle up towards the intended victim. Upon reaching its target, the tentacle seeks out the prey's anus and inserts itself up his or her rectum. Once inside, the tip of the tentacle inflates into a bulb that lodges within the prey's anus to anchor itself

Since the bulb is now too big to be pulled out, the anemone begins to reel in its prey down towards its body. As the prey approaches, the mouth opens up and more tentacles appear to grab the victim and pull him/her into its maw. The anemone drags the prey fully inside before closing tightly. Inside its body more tentacles begin to curl around the victim's body to prevent struggling, or latch onto mouths to provide air and nourishment. Tentacles also suck onto exposed nipples or penises and penetrate vaginas, depending on the prey caught.

Once this is done, the victim is stimulated until it is brought to climax. After a brief pause, the process is repeated. All the while the victim is kept alive and nourished to reduce the risk of expiry. While it varies greatly, after a period of between a few days to several weeks (in a few recorded instances even a couple of months), the anemone finally releases its victim. The mouth opens and the anchoring tentacle deflates to allow the prey to escape and flee back to the surface.

Researchers have not yet determined why the anemone does this. Some have speculated that it is some form of symbiotic feeding process. Others claim it is part of the anemone's reproductive cycle. This is backed by victims sometimes being released with spores clinging to their bodies, which then wash away in the ocean current. But so far, no firm conclusions have been reached.

The Fisherman Anemone, or Ass Snatcher, originally was found around a remote island. There the local native tribe would sometimes sacrifice one of their number to the anemone as part of a ritual. But ever since French explorers discovered the anemone and brought back tales of the anemone along with spores, the creature has spread rapidly around the world. This has reached the point where clusters of these anemones have become hazards around tropical resorts and coastal towns.

Despite this, many swimmers, scuba divers and snorkelers still fall victim to the anemone, either by accident or deliberate action. Some resorts and businesses even encourage this by letting visitors pay for the opportunity to get "ass snatched". Rescuing these victims in the past involved cutting the anemone open, but a few years ago it was discovered one could stimulate the anemone to release its captives without harming them or the anemone. It should be noted that rescue teams sometimes fall foul of the anemone as well.

Despite the possible risks and warnings against prolonged captivity, the Ass Snatcher remains a popular attraction for those who wish to get really, really close to these unique marine creatures.

My personal art holiday continues with a more kinky piece of artwork. The Ass Snatcher was one of many ideas bouncing around in my head that I decided to draw during this free time. It was a combination of several kinks in one neat package.

However, as I drew this picture, fellow artist Naty expressed that she really liked the idea of the Ass Snatcher. So much, in fact, that she offered to do the remainder of the colouring (I did the flats for the characters), shading and background. Thus, this picture turned in an unexpected collaboration, but one which produced an artwork that looked even better than I had envisioned.
