MemberSome people think he has a crush.
Crushes don't quite work that way.

MemberI've got my own rants on this topic, but what makes you say so?

MemberI have my little pony blacklisted, how'd this show up? Ah, don't really care, this is kinda cute

MemberSpike is the best "pony"
Drflash55
MemberMost likely because the tag wasn't there when you came across this.
I fixed ya sentence. No need to thank me, or criticise me on what you meant. My work here, is done.
What do ya mean, "Crushes don't work that way"?
counter10
MemberWhat? It was in quotation marks because he's not really a pony or horse at all. It was also a joke referring to him living with ponies yet being a dragon...
Nevermind, I suppose this is why I don't self-identify as a brony, despite watching the cartoon...

MemberHmm, didn't know that. Soz. 3:

MemberA crush burns out after a period of time. You go bonkers for someone, you get blinded by hormones, even obsess. That falters as you spend time with them, deal with issues that ruin your imaginary perception of them.
If he was under a crush, he'd have dropped his obsession with Rarity during her lusting after blueblood, and if not that, then certainly when she was bonkers for that other guy who had the hots for AJ.

MemberLike he would back off and respect her decisions?
joshymaw
MemberDat footfidgeting.
It's like a precursor to dragon stompstuff.
HarryDevil
MemberIt's not a matter of respecting anyone's decisions; a crush is simply a sudden attraction to someone that quickly evaporates when faced with any kind of opposition. Spike has known Rarity and seen enough of her flaws for that feeling to pass away a long time ago. At this point, it has developed into a proper romantic interest (although a platonic one, what with him being a child and all).
