    I think Mal0 is supposed to actually be harmless and just wants to keep people company since the intended purpose of SCP 1471 was basically being to help people who are lonely. The problem is that it reminds people that they aren't alone by appearing out of the corner of their eye and giving them the constant and unsettling feeling that they're always being watched, which tends to be bad for their mental well-being. It doesn't actually hurt anyone though.

    I choose to believe that this image is the result of the creators of 1471 trying to expand into making a dating app.

    Wait the author of 1471 changed the lore as a dating app? or was it originally there?
