You actually made me look it up, and bit you're referring to only says the snake was cursed to crawl on its belly and eat dirt forever, which could be interpreted in a number of ways. Given how nagas are usually portrayed as being able to "stand up" in a way that would be difficult for snakes, plus how the hebrew word used in the Bible is "Nāḥāš", I'm going to say that the original snake from the bible being a naga is now my headcanon.

I see why Eve and Adam were tempted now. XD
