MemberShe must have pure breed trouble, the more a dog is pure breed the more likely they have immune system problems, beagles are very well know for that. But I know Doxies are not so bad in that department (I have both a Beagle and a Dachshund in my home love em to bits) and thank goodness they are healthy.
But Apogee needs a nice warm blanket, a warm room and plenty of TLC no matter what. She is sweet and I can't watch a pup in pain, take a load off Apogee you just warm up under some quilts.
(note was not role-playing there, was just paraphrasing the song "The Weight" and adding to ScarfMouse's post)

MemberAin't it the truth, if she had Doxie blood she would be the best hugger in the world for cold people. Doxies are furnaces and in winter you will never be cold cuddled up to one. But our lovely Spitz is in need of the Hug and lots of quilts, I hear some dogs will bundle up under them like their wolf ancestors did with soil, dig in curl up and all you can see is that adorable nose poking out.
