This. Pretty much. they become pretty much almost feral, so love and emotion starved that 'heat' pretty much takes over and any touch is welcomed.

Alternative "option" is...them going "feral" on you and draining your balls dry. Main example is the majority of SaltyXodium's Gardeviors and their lucario.

Important lesson. Don't get a pokemon unless you plan to spend quality time with it, depending on the type of course.
