Even a little bit of animation can bring a simple piece to a whole other level.
Of course, it's a question of quality over quantity; even this, though it might not seem like it, takes quite some time.

Random fun fact: "paras" means "best" in finnish.
I do not agree, for this particular pokémon is probably quite far from the best.

This is not animated, I downloaded it and checked it with my viewer. It is however well drawn.

I too, downloaded it and checked it in my browser, which is how most people will view it. It is indeed animated, if only for a gentle color flicker. It should get the animated tag.

Sorry to burst your bubble but when you click download the URL clearly states '.png' at the end, and not '.gif' or '.swf'.

It's animated. This fact cannot be denied. However the author should be aware that animated PNGs are not viewable to everyone. Support for them is not that great yet. I typically can't view them, but this one is working for me.

And in the end, it's just some light moving about, hardly worth all the effort.

Fixed the tag, it's now apng NOT animated because most of us can't view it. Keep your overclocked pc bubble.

APNG's aren't animated, they're APNG's. The tagging is improper. Not everyone can see it, in fact most people can't see it.

Also, something to add: APNG's are mostly only viewable only by help of plugins or browser extensions. Not by default.

The acronym APNG stands for Animated Portable Network Graphics. So yes, APNG's are animated. I can view them easily in Firefox without any plugin or extension particular to APNG's.

Same goes for flash, and it gets animated tag. We don't care about people who can't see flash on their browser, why should we care for people who can't see animated APNG?
