  • I wonder if this was done in light of the recent update to attempt to patch out apparently "offensive content" the game had before.

One of Velma's attacks was to call the police on people. Police are inherently offensive.

If this is true and not just sarcasm, that's just sad. People have seen the show before right? :O

It was a convoluted thing of her attack calling the police....then it came to a head with Lebron James and then people took it as Velma being a racist Karen and here we are with the change.

Velma's special move had her calling the police and a cop car would show up, her opponent would be tossed in the back, and the cop car would try to drive out the arena. But with colored characters in the game, like LeBron James, many people said it was too close to mirroring cops targeting minorities due to their race and police brutality...all that jazz.

So some over-inensetive people went online to complain and actually got a petition passed that resulted in the game devs replacing the cop car with the Mystery Machine instead.

And before someone wants to come at me for saying people are overly insensitive to have issues with police brutality and all that, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. It is a real world issue that needs to be addressed. But instead of getting offended and targeting a children's game for something so minor and harmless, they should be striving to make changes in the real world to make an actual difference that matters.

To expand a little bit, there's a bit of a phenomenon where (mostly) white, suburban Karens will threaten to call the police on black men in parks, forests and other areas with few people around to act as neutral witnesses. Social media often circulates video of some random ass soccer mom walking up to a black guy, phoning the police and telling them she's feeling threatened or about to be assaulted or whatever, specifically with the intent of getting the guy arrested or hassled by officers.

Dates back to before the civil rights era where white women were often seen as vulnerable to predation from black men and thus used as an excuse to abuse and imprison black men on trumped up or completely nonexistent charges of rape and sexual assault.

Americans worship black people to such a worrying extent that even the sight of one in the back of a police car in a children's game triggers crippling PTSD so they had to remove it.

The mind of a reactionary must be so full of wild fantasies, because not only did you think there was an actual outrage about this (spoilers: there wasn't, it was all jokes on Black Twitter that some clowns took seriously), but you think the United States of America actually loves its black citizens.

I hope I never get banned from this site. The racists here are too hilarious to get mad at.

Yeah there sure wasn't outrage about it they just removed it for no reason. If you really think America hates black people in the current year you are the one living in a fantasy land, but then again what should I expect from a culture warrior who unironically uses the term "reactionary" and accuses other people of racism on a furry porn website (when even trying to be racist in a previous comment he made).

    1. There wasn't. Log off.
    2. It does. Read a book.
    3. I didn't. Don't be a snowflake.
    4. Do you think Shrek lets Donkey clap Fiona's big Granny Smith apple bottom cheeks?

  • One thing that people forget when they go on the Internet cartoons are fictional and should not reflect anything to do with real life because they cannot affect us directly

  • Glad I came back. I can just imagine the hefty mouthbreathing and keyboard tapping that occurred here. It lingers like a spirit to a murder scene. Close your eyes, you can still hear it.
