ya know thats a question, the series has shown us twilights parants, as well as breifly rarities folks...in a flashback we saw pinkies parants too...but dashie, fluttershy, applejack dont get that...*wonders*

Applejack's parents are sapposed to be dead, but because it's a kid's show, they won't say. There is never a hint of Fluttershy's or Rainbow Dash's, so there is the theory that Pegusi are orphaned as soon as they are able to walk and talk.

As for the pic, it's cute. Wonder what they would name the dad? Rainbow Rocket, Spectrum Rocket? I don't know exactly and I feel those are weak names....

not 'all' pony's names match there mark.....and since dash is well, dash, perhaps thats her family name makeing him Rocket Dash, or Rainbow Blast perhaps anyway now that i think about it maybe that is the case, it would explain Scootaloo's lack of parents too...perhaps its tradition among the pegesi of clouds dale to do so...they do seema a competitive lot so they may value self sufficiency highly.

The Pegisi are a militeristic socity like the spartans, Parents give up their children from an early age for training in weather control and I assume a veriaty or military roles.

There is that theory too, which would explain Commander Hurricane. I just wish the show would at least give a hint, like a brief flash back for them.
