  • This is extremely well done. It almost looks real, then I remember that science hasn't gotten that far yet. T_T

  • I'm not saying I'm sure, but it could be 3D.

It's really hard to tell, so regardless of what it is, it is certainly well made.

  • Artist is Silverfish. He disappeared around ~2000 after making a few dozen photomorphs. It seemed like he was working on making animal encyclopedia containing these photomorhs.

  • at least the tail has a realistic length. most furries seem to have a tail that is at least 5 times the length of the spine itself. ;)

Actually he wasn't an artist but a scientist, he was capped by the Bush administration for splicing human and animal DNA.

Actually science has gotten that far. That's why there is a ban on this type of creation in the US

Ummm no it hasn't. Science has gotten to the point of cloning, and some baseline genetic modification is going on. We are NOWHERE near what you are seeing in this picture. If research was allowed you might see this in 30-80 years. You have no concept of how complicated this is. But it isn't allowed and will NEVER be allowed as long as fundis are around to cock block it. You thought stem cell research, abortions, and such made them get all pissy and in some cases go out and kill people. You tamper with something they believe is in God's own image...Good luck on that one. Its sad...but there it is.

Kellic. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but this kind of technology WILL be discovered sooner than you think. :P I know these things.

There is a huge difference between discovery and implementation. We mapped the human genome in 2003. Only now are we learning how to use it. Again 30+ years. I've spent more time researching this subject then I really should have. Now that said. Nanotech is another matter.

    *stuff about gene splicing*

For the record, this type of human modification will most likely never be practical, if it is even possible. Gene alteration (which is itself banned from aplication in humans untill further research can be done regarding its safety) could give us certain aspects of various othe animals, but could not cause much of a visible variation. A being such as the one shown here would have to be a carefully engineered hybrid grown in a laboratory. It would most likely be infertile and otherwise highly disabled due to the differences in the DNA of the two combined animals. Alternatively, extensive plastic surgery could possibly give one aspects of a desired animal, but not to this extent. And it would be expensive. That being said, I am by no means an expert in such matters, and I apologize if I have misrepresented any of the information that I have given, as my sources may not be entirely credible.

This is probably the most sophisticated thing I will ever post on this site...
