You gotta remember this is the community that killed each other over a tree back in 2019. Oshawott, Tepig, Froakie (mostly before Greninja was announced), Chespin (mostly after Quilladin and Chesnaught were announced), Popplio, Rowlet (after Hisuian Decidueye was announced), etc. got/still get the same treatment. This is just a side effect of new starters being announced, and it should blow over once the games are released and Fuecoco starts growing on people.

It's funny, unless you do great competitively, then everyone won't hate you. Look at Greninja,Cinderace,Aeigislash and ect. If one of these starters get an amazing Hidden Ability like Greninja,Incineroar and Cinderace. Then they'll received less hate. I think if Dracovish didn't have Strong Jaws, people would be crapping over it.

A thing i hope it's: fuecoco gets a badass evolution or be in a good competitive position

No Oshawott is still trash, and just gets worse as it evolves, even PLA didn't help it in that regard sadly

Don't hate on Oshawott, it's my favourite of all the water type starters. It's adorable, and I think Deuwott and Samurott (especially the new Hisuian form) look really cool.

I have to say, it's kinda nice how we've evolved from blind hatred to frowning upon knee-jerk reactions like this

Apparently the artist gets off on this. They even admit this on another piece. They enjoy belittling and harshness to Fuecoco for some reason.

INB4, Fuecoco gets the best evolutions.

ima be honest the fire starter isn't that ugly but still kinda is. just something off about the critter, weed cat is REALLY over rated. and the duck is sorta, just the next jojo character.
