Is that really the justification? I'm not an MLP fan but I recall back when I attempted to watch the show, one of the episodes was centered around how one of the ponies didn't have a cutie mark. That kinda nullifies your argument.

Don't bother. Logic has no place amongst his sort. "Tag what you see." You see a equine character that is blatantly based off of My Little Pony and it's theme, he see's some random equine.
