Maybe the chest react to emotions like happy and sad. Or love and hate?

Starting to guess that as long as the replies never guess how to open that chest correctly the comic will continue to not get anywhere. If that's the case kudos to the artist for being so patient. I know I couldn't stick to my guns on a puzzle that long.

Its an interactive puzzle game, not a webcomic. The story is driven by the interaction between the artist and the players.
