The Treachery of Furry Porn

The famous dog cock. How people reproached me for it! And yet, could you suck my dog cock? No, it's just a representation, is it not? So, if I had written on my picture 'This is a dog cock', I'd have been lying!

- Mirror Universe René Magritte

A little over four years ago, I thought that the world needed a bit of humour - and a lot of dog cock. Or at least, pictorial representations, so the philosophy goes.

And fresh off a truly shit year, with nights still long, and while the light at the end of the tunnel is bright it can seem so very far away at times... I think we can go for some of that again.

Enjoy~

I don't really understand surrealism. Give me Renaissance, give me impressionism.

I don't see anything "surreal" about this...looks more like an illustration in a veterinary textbook. If anything, this is more in the realm of "photorealism".

    And I agree...canine cocks rule!

It’s surrealist because of the text, which is a reference to “this is not a pipe”
The concept itself is to make a point about how the work is a illustration of an object and not the object itself.
“This is not a dog cock” is playing on this concept, as it’s not a dog cock it’s a digital illustration meant to represent one

Illustrations in veterinary textbooks usually look rather... unsightly.
This, however, is pleasing to the eyes~

oh no! I don't study French! I meant that I'm familiar with the "this is not a pipe" original picture because one course about media and representations used it as an example.
(I studied French in junior high-school for 2 years then quit because my pronounciation was bad... and because of that number you mentioned, lol)
