  • Oh we telling coming out stories down here? I came out in gym class. No one knew how to react, but it was generally positive afterward.

It was during sex ed, talking about pregnancy risk. I laughed, the instructor asked why I was laughing, and I explained I wouldn't need to worry about that. My parents ended up finding out through school staff.

    Man, high school was wild.

This is exactly how I came out to my family

This is exactly how my brother came out to us. His boyfriend was so relieved by our low-key reaction, he started to cry...because his family wasn't nearly so accepting.

  • God, I had to plan out coming out as bi to my mom. It took months to build up the courage...and she thought it wasn't a big deal.

Blue is literally the same way I was.

  • If I ever have a child and I'm told that they grow to become attracted to the same sex, I'll immediately drop what I'm doing, distribute high fives to both of them and order their pizza of choice in celebration.

I always thought green was a girl

I am amused that you each made the opposite mistake. Green and blue are both male, although admittedly it's not at all obvious from most strips taken in isolation. There are a few where it's spelled out though, e.g. post #2226449
