Sega could've been a success with nintendo not changing at all. They failed due to incredibly bad management. The fact the saturn never had a good sonic game and every attempt to make one was ruined by squabbling among the devs and executives is one of the bigger examples of it.

I know Nintendo wasn't the reason Sega failed. I know the other reasons why the Sega Saturn failed was due to poor marketing, competition with the PS1, and it being a difficult system to develop for.

It was mostly Sega's fault tho (and the fact Sega of America got screwed by Sega of Japan too)
