Description

All these years and I never actually made proper references for any of my characters. I thought I would start to make a few and update them with how I see the characters now. These will also hopefully help me keep their markings similar.... but we all know how much I love to slightly change my designs over and over again.

Second one is: Terry!

Extra Info:

Terry is a short shiba inu. He loves fantasy writing, roleplaying, and board games. He attends college but still isn’t quite sure what he wants to do in the future. He prefers his hobbies to lectures and studying.

He is introverted and a bit shy. He doesn’t mind spending time alone, but also loves hanging out with a few close friends. He has a tough time introducing himself to new people, but is trying to open up and be more social as time goes on [he’s just not sure how sometimes]. He has no idea how to flirt.

His favorite color is ‘paragon blue’ and he always paints his nails to match.

Despite a lot of his hobbies being indoor focused Terry loves to get out in nature if he can. He loves the spring and fall months the most and keeps a small sketch journal of bugs and plants. He also likes collecting seashells, seaglass, and rocks to display in his room.

He is nearsighted and squints a lot if he forgets his glasses. He tends to clean them when he is deep in thought.

His favorite scent is pine/evergreen. He is afraid of spiders but refuses to kill them. He relocates them if he can.

    'Asexual'

You are aware that that means He doesn't do sex at all, right?

If you meant that he likes all gender then it would be Pansexual

Terry probably doesn't have a sexual attraction towards anything in particular. Not to say he doesn't get aroused, sex probably just isn't his thing.

And I realize right now how is having no nipples masculine?

It's not necessarily, but some forms of chest surgery don't re-attach the nipples, so it's just a side effect. Trans men may also be dysphoric about the size and shape of their nipples, and prefer no nipples to the nipples they have. (There's also nipple reduction surgery, but that may not be worth it to every person either.) Nipples aren't really critical to most men's identity, so having them isn't necessarily all that important, especially if you're not planning on going around shirtless often.

I'm not against trans people but I just don't understand cutting yourself up just because you either don't want to be a guy/girl or want to see what it's like not being a guy/girl

This is a loaded question, and even if you are asking in good faith, do you really expect people to be able to give a full answer in the e621 comments section? Go ask in a more appropriate setting.

In this case, there's also a much simpler answer - none of Roanoak's male characters have visible nipples.

Yeah. The nipple's presence is part of character design choices and it's not that uncommon.

Why is it that the types of people who leave these comments insist on never punctuating them?

well yeah, because you're cisgender, so you don't look at yourself in the mirror and feel like your body is wrong. Imagine being stuck in an outfit you think looks hideously ugly on you, but that outfit is your own physical body.

Thanks for actually explaining it to me unlike everybody else. More people should be like you trying to change other people's minds instead of denying them entirely

I'm not trans personally, but I've been in queer circles long enough to know that:

A: The answers to these questions are readily available online, and

B: Most people who ask these questions do so in bad faith. Your comment was worded pretty contemptuously, so we assumed that's what you were doing.

I've been on the internet long enough to not ask the internet every question under the sun, sometimes it actually is good to ask an individual or two because alot of articles on pretty much anything controversial are written from the author's point of view or give a narrow view and use "studies" and "sources" which always leave questions unanswered or hold some kind of misinformation that is convincing but not quite covering the scope of the subject.

Whenever you have a question these days on something it's like the internet just generally dances around your question and never directly answers it. I would consider a comment on E621 backed by another comment on E621 to be a more reliable source than some random article because you're getting your answers from a human who (Hopefully) has experience in the subject, not just someone with an agenda.
