We're all waiting with baited breath for him to eventually address that in some random ArtGripes (I'm sure it will be a hard hitting bit of Lore if he ever does). But I'm not exactly in a rush to find out why he ever stopped in the first place. As he also says from time to time.... the explanation in our own Imaginations is probably a lot more Fun than the reality of the final reveals from the "Author" himself. (just like most of Guildwars or Darksouls was)
