I can't tell if the genetics are canonically accurate or not. What's funny is that Legoshi's grandfather is a Komodo dragon, which is why Legoshi has small pupils and a somewhat stretched neck. Apparently there's always a vague semblance of the other species hidden in children with interspecies parents, but it's always hiding inside the predominant traits.
