Why would animal-style prosthetics compatible with humans be cheaper than human-style ones? I'd think the latter would be the more tried-and-tested, mass-produced technology and more likely to find cheap second-hand or knockoff versions.

Sucks about her family, but honestly, modular prosthetics would be pretty freaking cool.

We've historically had animal_limbs, which is undergoing clean up to be replaced with feral_replacement_limb plus either animal_legs/animal_arms when real and feral_prosthetic_limb when prosthetic/machine, like the above post
