Either that or rotoscoping. But it looks too clean to be that, so it's probably an effect like you said.

Kind of. I'm not a good 3d animator so o used a mix of the two. I used a dummy to get the motion down and 3D models for parts that I really hate drawing (like the paws). Sadly everything is hand drawn with a lot of copy pasting and transforming the lines toward the end lol

Didn't mean to sound snobby or anything. It's still nice.

I wouldn't say sadly, it makes such an interesting and unique style
