There are more plus sides than vampires. Besides, there is a Daedric artifact that benefits were-transformations if you follow the Hircine quest. You can also gain the Hide as well if you know how to glitch it all. Vampires, though they have thieving benefits, it's harder than shit to revert back to first stage from fourth and you cannot regenerate anything in the sunlight, so you're stuck with the issues of night time. Werewolves hold power (can kill a dragon or giant very quickly), speed (running nearly the speed of a horse in-game), yet cannot open doors and pick items up. It's well worth it.

    TL;DR Vampires < Werewolves.

As a Vampire with with two one-handed swords, 100 One Armed Skill, 100 Enchant and 100 blacksmithing I would like to concur, as Werewolf I need up to 10 Attacks on someone with heavy armor but I only need one hit with either of my swords.

    And that is without sneaking.

And since you get literally tons of ultimate potions in the endgame the missing regeneration is no big problem and even without these potions you can simply switch to night in 20 seconds tops.

However, it really sucks to equip the flame-resistance items so you don't die in 4 seconds on every single dragon and to break in to some damn hobo hut to get some fresh blood every other day.

At least the latter improves the lock-picking and sneaking skill.

  • Normal > Vampire or Werewolf

Just combo the blacksmithing and enchanting and you have the one-hit weapon of your choice.

For the record: To concur is to agree, which appears to be the opposite of what you were trying to say.

Werewolves are great for getting around quickly, scattering enemies, and if you're fed with your wolf's side, you can pretty easily take out enemies. If it takes anyone 10 hits to kill a human of any kind with werewolf, you're obviously very early in the evolution, bad with aiming in third person, or not using lycans as they should be. They are very strong, and if you keep feeding, they only get tougher and last longer. Plus, Vampies are very annoying to play with, being a user of vamparism since Oblivion. I took lycanism mainly to avoid vamparism on certain characters. Even if you dont use the werewolf often, it's nice to have.

  • I personally favour being werewolf, you can quickly mow down groups of people, without taking too much damage, and being able to run extremely quick.
Might be that I prefeer it because I don't play like an asshole abusing every bug in the game to become overpowered. Did it on my first character, and regret it deeply, more fun to scavange for good items, instead of geting the best armor at level 30.
I did play vampire for a while, but realized that with no regen during daytime (pluss massive decrease of your magica/health/stamina), and that everyone hates you at stage 4, AND that the -50% fire resistance is completely bunkers.
Little tip, go for light armor as werewolf, as the armor perks there increases your armor rating as werewolf, and if you want to get maximum out of werewolf form, go khajiit as the 15 more damage in unarmed applies to the were form as well.

Just for the record, I was getting gilded elven armor at level 30 and killing most anything that wasn't a boss with 1 shot from my bow. And the only cheat code I ever used was to add more Salt Piles to my inventory so I could cook up the rest of my food. It's not really all that hard to become overpowered in Skyrim if you play smart.

True, I play on master to make it more of a challange, but if you're good you won't die. However, it's a differenve between being good and having the best items at low level. May i ask what difficulty you are playing with, since i have a hard time oneshoting everything i run across, its the other way around for me at times :p

  • I'd love to see more pictures of that aragonian. That's very hot.

As for Werewolves vs Vampires, I think Bethesda got vampires backwards. Your powers go up when you have NOT fed for several days... which doesn't make sense. Shouldn't your powers be strongest when you have just fed?

When it comes to Vampire lore, there is no certain in any of it. Such as some say that the Nosferatue are the Gentleman/Lady looking, with nice clothes and nice young faces, where those who keep to the original stories knows that the Nosferatue are monsters in appearance and are by far one of the oldest and strongest Vampires around. But thats beside the point, Bethesda says that is how Vampires work in their world, then thats how they work in their world.

And Personally I don't play either Werewolf or Vampire, I'm an Argonian XD Sneak for the win =P

    Besides loves this image.

I play on the default setting. And it's the sneak attack crits that allow me to one-shot things. 83

yeah man but i heard that khajit boost to hand to hand combat is not adding up anymore dont know for light armor boost and didnt know about it to be exact but man being fast werewolf sure helped me alot, first of all i hate getting my blacksmith to 100 i tried many times and failed its just so boring that its unbearable for me and i stop playing second being as fast as horse really do helps you out in blackreach even if you cant pick items you can discover everything and kill lot of mobs and finally third you dont have to be good warrior as werevolf u do need higher level only but u dont have to have god like equipment to fight giants and other powerful beings (light armor boost i didnt heard of is exeption) so yeah i didnt know how to get good build and didnt wanted to be blacksmith so werewolf was good choice for me

Which is why i always get the vampire questline over with first thing of nearly any of my playthroughs
